Pay Housing Deposit & Apply For On-Campus Housing

Submit ACT/SAT Test Scores (Optional)

to upload a copy of your ACT/SAT scores.

Test scores are not required for admission to ºÚÁÏÍø. However, submission of test scores may result in an increased scholarship award, and will assist in initial course placement. 

Apply For Financial Aid

Visit the to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid once made available. ºÚÁÏÍø's school code is (003459).

ºÚÁÏÍø Scholarship Deadline (Feb. 1st, 2026)

Visit the Financial Aid page to learn more and apply for scholarships at ºÚÁÏÍø. The scholarship application submission deadline for new students is February 1st.

Activate Your ºÚÁÏÍø Yellowjacket Student Accounts

These will be vital accounts throughout your time as a ºÚÁÏÍø student. Watch your email for notification on when and how to activate these accounts. Your student accounts must be active in order to apply for ºÚÁÏÍø scholarships and to sign up for New Student Orientation. 

Sign Up For New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation (NSO) is for students who have been admitted to ºÚÁÏÍø. At NSO, you will register for your first year of ºÚÁÏÍø classes.

New Student Orientation and registration is designed to help make your transition to ºÚÁÏÍø as smooth as possible. During your New Student Orientation you will meet with Professional Advisors and faculty that will assist you with academic advising and creating your class schedule. We look forward to welcoming you to campus!

You will need your ºÚÁÏÍø Student ID Number, which was emailed and mailed to you in your official letter of acceptance.

Fall 2026 Orientation Dates will open March 1st, 2026.

Sign up for New Student Registration

Submit Your Immunization Records (Proof of MMR 2 Doses: Measles, Mumps, Rubella)

(Proof of two doses of the MMR immunization, proof of antibody titer, or signed medical or religious exemption form). This is required per and South Dakota Board of Regents policy 2.3.

Submit Official Final High School and College Transcripts

Request that your final official transcript be sent directly to the ºÚÁÏÍø Admissions Office from your high school, college, or university.

To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly from your high school, colleges, and universities attended directly to the Admissions Office through an electronic ordering service or via mail to ºÚÁÏÍø Admissions Office, 1200 University St Unit: 9502, Spearfish, SD 57799.

Attend Your Selected Orientation Day

During New Student Orientation you will meet with Professional Advisors and faculty that will assist you with creating your first year class schedule.

Receive Room Assignment and Roommate Information

Fall housing assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis, in the order they were received. Housing assignments will be made in May, and sent to students via email.

Purchase Required Books and Supplies
